Marketing Lessons From Jet Li

by Mike Sigers on September 21, 2006

Jet Li is Fearless

Tomorrow is the day my vote-getter for Movie of the Year comes out. The last martial arts movie by one of the Top 2 martial arts movie stars of all-time, right up next to Bruce Lee.

Jet Li is fearless and that’s what you should be as a sales and marketing player.

Anybody can be a chicken*snap*, as the wife would say, marketer or salesperson, but if you’re gonna go, be a player and GO BIG !

There’s one, single, solitary marketing lesson that we can all learn from Jet Li -

Kick every ass in the place and then retire.

Simple.

I read on Jet Li’s website that this isn’t necessarily his last martial arts film. He may still agree to play modern and/or weapons-oriented martial arts roles.

Fearless is one of his best, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as I did.

Thanks Chris - I was gonna go tonite, but we had 3 hours of tornado warnings and a helluva storm.

Just got power back and it’s too late, so I’ll go tomorrow night.

I hope he does another film or two.

Mike,

I’ve been a Jet Li fan for quite some time now. This one has to be the most memorable one for me as there are some profound lessons to be learned from it. Apply it to the business world and you can say that to be respected in business, you must respect your customers and the people that work for you. Also, be careful who you associate with!

Hi Maria,

The lessons I learned will last my lifetime thru.

It had a profound effect on me and I’m very grateful that I had the chance to see it and learn all those lessons for only $8 !

The movie Jet Li’s Fearless was a great movie and I’ve been one of his greatest fans ever since I saw the movies he played in. This one in particular showed a modern but peaceful place to me, it had some good lessons to be learned in many different ways and I believe Jet Li is one of the greatest martial artist I ever saw and as well one of the greatest actors. GREAT MOVIE
