Hey Eric,

Some of the bloggers who are joining in aren't able to ping, aren't wise to the tags thing, aren't using link leak virus as their anchor text, etc.

BUT they are trying hard to help and that's more important to me than the efficiency of their actions.

I appreciate your links, pings, tags and the sheer fact that you joined in, which is what we're after.

I hope noone uses this as an excuse to link lazily, but uses it as a means to an end, that being fee form, open source, unmitigated ( I can't think of any more cliches ) link love being spread amongst those of us who aren't link hoarders !

As for Google and technorati, well, they're gonna be a day or so behind at all times and this here thang just jumped this weekend. Look for it to go bazonkers next week !

If everyone who gets bit bites 3 more, within 2 weeks it will be at it's pinnacle. Maybe third week will be better, maybe going down by then.

I'm basing that on what happened to Chris Pearson's Indie Virus over at http://www.pearsonified.com, which is where I got this idea and waited for the time to spring it.

This didn't just occur to me a couple of days ago.

Curious - "link leak virus" (with the quotes) still does not show up in standard Google, BUT is showing in Google's Blog search (13 results). Are people pinging after they post I wonder?

Hey Mike,

Sorry, I did four links today, and added another one to help someone out.

Then, I asked if anyone felt left out to let me know and I would add them as well.

I know you don't want this to spread too fast, so I'll wait until tomorrow for more (unless someone asks).
