Do you have a (sales) manager, boss, supervisor or some other authority figure who excels at deinspiring you?
Leadership is an acquired skill and most mid–level managers never bother to acquire it.
Here’s what they think – I was born to manage. I went to college and studied business management.
Whoopee. So did millions of other people and they suck at it … just like you do.
I need a place to store actions, traits and quotes of those who excel at not excelling at leadership, management and inspiring their employees, so I’m writing this post.
The best part is, not only can I come back and add to this post, you can leave comments and tell the world about the world-classlessness of your fearless leaders.
If you don’t want to write it out for the world to see, feel free to click on the Contact tab and send it to me thru email.
I’ll compile these bits of bull into some sort of product and give it to the world.
If you’d like to read how smart people lead and get leadership tips and leadership training, follow that link over to the blog of some of my friends.

I’ll go first to show you how easy it is to add your experiences with leaders who don’t lead.
Don’t you love it when you’re sitting or standing in your bosses office and he/she picks up something off his/her desk and starts reading it?
Like Dr. Phil says “How’s that workin’ for ya?” or “How’s that make you feel?”
How about if while you’re talking to them they yawn about 3-4 times a minute?
I love those, personally. They make me feel like going out and sellin’ up a storm ! Wouldn’t they make you feel like a key part of the team? Like a valued asset?
Nope. They scream LOSER ! Leadership wise, that is.
How about when you’re in brainstorming mode and in a stream of consciousness mode–and your manage cuts you off and takes off on a rant–telling you why your idea won’t work.
Or, worse, he says, “we tried that before and we’ll never do it again.”
Or worse–and more common–he fails to ask a followup question of your idea. He just lets it sit. That sucks the wind out of one’s sail.
Nice additions Bill.
Thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment !
Actions speak louder than words – if a boss is rubbish why are they still the boss and you’re not? Could it be that they have attributes you don’t? (this excludes those bosses who are related to the company owners of course)
K-Market? Didn’t you used to play for the N.J. Nets or something?
You must be something besides a businessman, because you know nothing about what you’re spouting off about.
Thanks for playing.
Normally an employee switches off if the boss expects from him what he himself never even attempted (leave whether he is capable or not). Hyposcrite bosses lose their respect very fast but if a boss attempts and fails, he still have that respect from the employees.
